Weekend
Overview
Families
who have adopted children from Eastern Europe will have the
opportunity to get together in Tulsa, OK, for a weekend of fun,
cultural activities for
the children and a special workshop for parents. A celebration lunch concludes the weekend
of activities. Dillon's Eastern Europe Heritage Weekend is
open to ALL adoptive families (regardless of
agency used for adoption placement) who have adopted from
Eastern Europe.

Area Hotels
We recommend the following hotels that are within the area
around Tulsa Christian Fellowship. Please contact the
individual hotel to check room availability and to make
reservations.

How You Can Help
Open Your Home -- If you have an extra
bedroom that you would be willing to offer to an out-of-town
camp family as a place to stay in lieu of a hotel, please let us
know. Saving hotel fees could make all the difference in
whether an out-of-town family is able to attend camp this year
and have a chance to give their child(ren) the "heritage camp
experience."
Donate to the Camp Scholarship Fund --
We also accept donations to provide scholarships to children to
be able to attend camp, who otherwise would be unable to
participate, and/or "family grants" to assist traveling families
with their motel fees so that they may attend camp.

Eastern Europe Heritage Weekend Highlights

This year’s weekend focused on “Holiday’s of Eastern Europe”
-
Families enjoyed family night at Incredible Pizza playing
games and enjoying conversation
-
Children received passports which were stamped after each
Holiday craft room.

Learned about Holidays in Romania, Russia, Kazakhstan and
Ukraine
-
There was even an Easter Egg Hunt!
-
Campers kept the yearly tradition going, by creating a life
size matroyshka doll
-
Parents enjoyed Rebecca Hackworth’s special needs and Post
adoption workshop
