Dillon International is providing the forums for our adoptive families and families considering Dillon as their adoption agency to use in conversing with other Dillon families who are in all stages of the adoption process. We hope families will use these forums as a resource for accurate adoption information, helpful tips, and post-adoption counsel as well as encouragement during the tough waiting times prior to your child's arrival. In addition, we hope that these forums will aid in the development of lasting friendships among Dillon adoptive families.

With that in mind, we strive to maintain these forums as a positive and friendly atmosphere and we count on you, the members, to make that happen. Contact ForumManager@dillonadopt.com with any questions or concerns.

Protect your family:

We strongly caution you not to post personal information such as your complete name, address, telephone number, school names, Social Security number, password, etc. on the forums. You are responsible for the content you post and unfortunately, this type of information can be used for illegal or harmful purposes.

Dillon International, Inc., reserves the right to monitor these forums at any time. If you feel that a member may be in violation of the forum guidelines, please contact the Forum Manager at ForumManager@dillonadopt.com. If a member demonstrates that he/she is in violation of the Code, they will be contacted privately by the Forum Manager. If the member continues to disregard the Code after being contacted by the Forum Manager, they will be unsubscribed from the forum(s.)

Country Forums
Membership to the country forums is only available to Dillon families currently in process or who have already received their children.  Families must have at least an approved application part 1 in order to become a member of a country forum.  Note: If you switch countries, you will be allowed to remain on your current country forum for two (2) weeks and then your subscription will be switched to the country forum for the country you are adopting from.

Considering Adoption Forum
Families who are considering Dillon or who have not yet received an approved application part 1 are eligible for joining the Dillon Considering Adoption Forum.  Subscriptions to this forum will run for six months from the date you joined the forum. You will be automatically removed at the end of that time but are welcome to join one of the Dillon Country Forums once you have an approved application part 1.

Dillon Parenting Forum
Dillon Families may be added to the Dillon Parenting Forum once their child has arrived home. This is a safe place to ask a professional for advice on parenting, attachment and anything else regarding parenting your adopted children.

Dillon Special Needs Forum
This forum is only for families whose children have moderate to severe special needs.  (Minor special needs are not considered for membership.)  Families may be added to this forum once they have received a referral of a special needs child or if they have already received their child.

Dillon Older Child Adoption Forum
This forum is especially for families who bring older children into their family by adoption. The purpose of this forum is to allow families to discuss behaviors of concern and to receive support from other adoptive parents who understand the unique challenges of adopting children at an older age. Families may be added to this forum once they have accepted the referral of an older child(ren).

Adopting Again Families
Families who have previously adopted through Dillon, and would like to visit another forum while they consider adopting through that country, may join that country's discussion forum for one (1) month.  As soon as a family has an approved application part 1 for that country, they may be re-subscribed to the new country forum.

The purpose of Dillon International's discussion forums is to provide support for Dillon families, programs and activities.  Therefore, requests for solicitations and/or promotions are not accepted.

Solicitations and/or sales promotions are not allowed to be posted to the forums. However, organizations or individuals with products or services that are in accordance with the mission of Dillon International and who are willing to provide a reciprocal link to Dillon’s website and/or have a portion of proceeds benefit Dillon may request to have their product or service listed on Dillon’s web store. Requests must be submitted by the 10^th of the month to webmaster@dillonadopt.com. If approved, it will be posted by the 20^th of the month.  Solicitations or sales promotions posted to the forums will be removed.

Please ask specific process questions of your Case Manager.  (If you are a member of the Considering Adoption Forum and have process-related questions, please contact ForumManager@dillonadopt.com to get you in touch with a Case Manager who can answer those questions.)

Please be sensitive when you are expressing opinions that are different from other forum members. Dillon reserves the right to unsubscribe any member(s) who consistently exhibit extreme rudeness or obscenity. Also, Dillon reserves the right to remove messages with these same characteristics.

Please do not share your password or security information with anyone else. Instead, encourage people to sign up for their own membership. You are responsible for whatever is posted with your member name and password.
