International has been escorting adoption tour groups since 1989. |
What We Offer
One of the many milestones in an adoptee's
life is the decision to visit his/her birth country. With
almost 20 years experience of escorting adoptees and their
families on birthland tours, Dillon International understands
the importance of this milestone in an adoptee's life.
Thus, we specialize in small tour groups which allow adoptees
and their families to receive more individualized attention and
service. All Dillon International birthland tours are open
to any adoptive family regardless of the agency used for
adoption placement. Our tour packages offer a variety of experiences
for participants to acquaint them with the country, the
culture and the people of Korea in-depth. Some highlights

Dillon International's "Visit Korea" Tours
should not be confused with another Korea tour business that has
been started by a former Dillon employee who retired from the
agency in 2007.

Tour Fees
Tour is recommended for children ages 8 years
and up. Adult Adoptee Tour has a more rigorous schedule
not suited for young children as it includes more nightlife activities
and less scheduled time for rest.

Mrs. Dukkyung Um is Dillon's Director of Korean
Adoptions and will be your tour leader. Mrs. Um previously
worked as a social worker for Eastern Social Welfare Society in
Seoul, South Korea, for 10 years before coming to the U.S.
She has been directing Dillon's Korea Adoption program and
co-leading the "Visit Korea" birthland tours since 1996.
She brings to the tour program not only her extensive experience
in the area of search & reunion services, but also her intimate
knowledge and understanding of the Korean people and its

Mrs. Jan Dunn is Dillon's Korea Case Manager and has
been with Dillon International since 2004. She will assist
adoptees and their families in initiating a search for foster
mothers, birth family members and/or obtaining additional
background information prior to their "Visit Korea" tour.
