• Tours are open to all adoptive families regardless of the agency used for adoption placement. 

  • Tour open to children who are 8 years old and up; recommended age for children returning to China for the first time is between 8 -10 years

Tour Fees

• $50 non-refundable application fee per household
   

• The per person tour fee for 2012 is listed in our China Tour information packet.

• Tour Fee includes:

  • Hotel accommodations at super deluxe, deluxe, or first-class hotels (based on double occupancy)

  • In-country (China) flights and other transportation during the tour

  • Admission fees to scheduled events with 2-3 meals per day

  • Visits to founding site, orphanage and other significant sites

  • Professional, English-speaking guides

  • Staff of social workers, adopted adults and/or adoptive parents

  • Hands-on cultural learning experiences

  • Resources to assist you in preparing for your journey

  • Counseling support
     

• Tour Fee does NOT include:

  • International airfare

  • Side trips or individual purchases and gifts

• Refund Policy

  • The $50 application fee is non-refundable.

  • Should a family choose to cancel their reservation on a specific tour, they will incur the following penalty:

    • cancellation on or before February 28, 2012 - $200/person

    • cancellation on or before March 28, 2012 - $300/person

    • cancellation on or before May 3, 2012 - $500/person

    • Cancellation after May 3, 2012 - entire tour fee is non-refundable

  • Should Dillon International choose to cancel an individual tour due to insufficient participation, tour participants will be notified at least 60 days in advance of the tour's cancellation and all tour fees will be promptly refunded.

	Mrs. Denise Schoborg is Dillon's Director of China Adoptions and our China Tour Director.  Denise is an adoptive parent who organized and co-led Dillon's first "Visit China" Tour in 2006.  She has accompanied groups of families traveling to China to adopt their children.  Denise is available to answer your questions about the tour itinerary and what to expect when you travel.  To contact her, email Denise Schoborg.
	Ms. Rebecca Leaming-Hackworth is Dillon's Director of Social Services and will be your Tour Leader.  Rebecca is an adoptive parent and has accompanied numerous groups of families traveling to China.  She has been the tour leader for the "Visit China" Tour since the inaugural trip in 2006.  To contact her, email Rebecca Hackworth.
