Initial Screening Form for
Waiting Child Program |
After
submittal of this screening form, you will be directed to a secure webpage that
has a brief bio on each waiting child currently available for adoption through
Dillon International along
with links to the family requirements for each country program.
To receive additional information
about a specific child including a current photo, please click on the child's "Dillon Case #"
that is highlighted in green to email
our Waiting Child
Coordinator with your request.
PLEASE NOTE: Due
to the many inquiry calls and emails we receive about specific waiting children,
please understand that if more than one family expresses interest in adopting a specific child, Dillon International's Social Work
Committee will determine which family they believe has the ability to best
meet the child's needs. If all things appear to be equal, preference may
be given to a family based upon various factors such as the family's
"paperwork readiness" for submitting a dossier, access to quality
health care to meet the child's specific special needs, individual family
experience, etc.
IN ADDITION, please
keep in mind that each country has its own criteria regarding
prospective adoptive families. Submittal of this initial screening form does not
mean that your family meets all of the requirements to adopt from any
specific country. We recommend that you review each country program’s
family requirements to make sure that your family is eligible to adopt
from that country before contacting Dillon’s Waiting Child Coordinator
for more information about a specific waiting child.
