Contact Waiting Children Coordinator
Dillon International and Buckner Adoption and Maternity Services have always had a concern for waiting children. Both agencies have worked for many years behind the scenes to help these children find loving, permanent families and advocated on their behalf for much needed services to improve their well-being. Now through the combined efforts of our affiliation, we have greater opportunities to serve this special population of children and help end their wait for a permanent family to love and care for them.
A “waiting child” is a child who does not have a permanent family yet, but who is legally free for adoption. A child may become a waiting child due to various factors, including medical special needs, developmental delays, emotional issues, or simply because he or she is older or part of a sibling group.
