We are honored to be an adoption agency invited by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services to place Oklahoma’s Waiting Children.
We feel our experience in intercountry adoption will help us to make a difference for the more than 350 children currently in Oklahoma’s foster care system awaiting adoptive families.
The children who are currently waiting for adoption range in age from 5 to 17 years old. They are from various ethnic backgrounds and some have special emotional, medical or physical needs; many are part of a sibling group needing to be placed together.
Because the State of Oklahoma is subsidizing much of the adoption cost, the fees are much less than private adoptions.
The Department of Human Services has told us that they have a strong preference for Oklahoma families, so at this time, we are encouraging only Oklahoma families to apply for this program.
Prospective families will be required to complete training through DHS and Dillon International will assist families throughout their adoption journey, offering home study and post-placement services to adoptive families, as well as assisting with arrangements necessary to finalize their adoption.
