Frequently asked questions

Who are the children available for adoption?

  • Boys and girls from 2 – 14 years old at time of placement (adoption must occur before a child turns 14)
  • All children will have identified medical and/or developmental needs ranging from minor and/or correctable to significant.
  • Some children 10-13 years old with no identified medical needs are available.

Can I select my child's gender?

Yes! Families may select gender preference for their child. Due to most families prefering a girl, families open to a boy will usually be matched with a child faster.

Can single applicants adopt?

Yes! China allows for single heterosexual women to adopt as long as they meet the family requirements for a single applicant.
