With so many people doing storybook time online, Dillon thought we would offer a weekly storybook time every Friday for our families during the month of April. The books will focus on cultural folktales, adoption, or some helpful self-regulation books for kids.
This first book was picked to help children learn about mindfulness and handling worry. With such uncertain times we thought this would be a great way to kick off our storybook Friday! We encourage parents to try some of the ideas in this book. Go outside with your young ones and ask them to share what they see, hear, feel, or smell. Lay on the grass and guess what the clouds look like. All these things are really good sensory activities to help your child regulate and feel calm during this time.
